Holidays

Hey. Tis the season! Christmas just passed and it was wonderful. I had a great Christmas this year, and my girldfriend Gwen got to spend some of it with me. She came over for dinner and we exchanged gifts, ate, played games. My mother usually throws a dinner party for close friends and family, so we were all able to enjoy the eventful day together. Unfortunately, I was sick all throughout the day and was asleep up until the guests started arriving which was 5pm. Nyquill really hits me hard...

Of course, that morning, around 10, we all woke up to open gifts and I got a lot of stuff. If you remember, I was suppose to be getting a iPod for my birthday, but that never did happen. For Christmas I did though! It seems many people got one though because it is still on backorder as I type this message! My parents printed out the iPod invoice they got when they purchased it and wrapped it in a box. Although I was sick, it brightened my day. Among the joys of getting an iPod, I was excited to get the traditional box of cologne. I also got clothes, money (which I need for the spring break trip to the Bahamas), a nice blanket, etc...

Later on that night, I got a phone call. I almost avoided the number, but I figured I wouldn't, being that it was Christmas and all. It ended up being an old good friend of mine; Noel. I was flabbergasted and if you know the story of him, you know why. Long story short, he was arrested and I thought I would never hear from him again. Funny that I have friends bad enough to be arrested...
Anyway, he called to wish me a Merry Christmas and tell me that he was out and how I felt about the whole thing. I wasn't sure how I felt, but I do know that as good as friend as he was, I lost some trust I had in him. O well...

Now I must focus on recovering, continuing my daily intakes of water, pills, and food. I think it could be the flu. I'm not sure, but I think it is just now starting to go away. I've had it for quite some time now. It never fails that I get sick around Christmas so I was expecting it. I also must squeeze in the ability to work because I have a big payment to come up with by the 6th, but that will be another post. Take care and have a wonderful New Year!
