Lions and Tigers and Bears......OK!

An occasional trip to the zoo can be a fun thing. I haven't been to the zoo in years, especially the zoo in Columbia- The Riverbanks Zoo, which is the largest zoo in the state.
I have been planning a trip to the zoo for a few months now and nothing has come of it, and I was finally able to get myself together and plan a serious trip to the zoo; not by myself, but with 5 others. Many college students would turn away from the idea of going to the zoo all Saturday afternoon, but not us. We are going back to our childhoods to see the monkeys, zebras, insects, pandas, etc.
Here is a little bit about the zoo:
Riverbanks is home to more than 2,000 magnificent and fascinating animals
and one of the nation's most beautiful and inspiring botanical gardens. The lush
170-acre site features dynamic natural habitat exhibits, scenic river views,
spectacular valley overlooks and significant historic landmarks. For more than
30 years, Riverbanks has provided individuals, families and groups with a common
place to connect with and learn about the world's wildlife and wild places.
Twice awarded the Governor's Cup for South Carolina's Most Outstanding Tourist
Attraction, Riverbanks is the premier family choice for education and recreation
in the Southeast.
If you are in the area that day, you should come to the zoo also. You might see us there. It never herts to see some of the most amazing creatures that live in our world!
