More Facebook Changes Might be Coming Soon

Facebook just released a beta version of an idea at two schools today. Berkeley and Stanford University were given access to a new beta social bookmarking feature that may expand to all facebook users.



With the release of the mini-feed last month, it seems Mark Zuckerberg wants to take things a bit further, only this time, the changes will be less controversial.

Users can submit items to share with others through their Facebook pages or with a browser "bookmarklet". URLs from off site and pictures, notes or user profiles from inside Facebook can be tagged. Tagged items include the URL, a text excerpt and any notes a user cares to add. They can be either sent to your public profile or sent privately to particular friends.

This seems pretty interesting to me. I am thinking this well be similar to subscribing to a news feed so outside sources can read the latest facebook gossip. Personally, I like where facebook is going and I think I can imagine Facebook two years from now. However, only time will tell.
