I am officially one year older and it is not cool. There was a time when all I wanted was to be in my twenties and now that the day has come, I don't want to be there anymore! It's not so bad though; I'm just thinking way into the future. I don't act like a twenty-three year old, nor do I look like a twenty-three year old. But I am.
Yesterday (Oct. 22) was my twenty-third birthday and I really enjoyed it. I didn't get many gifts, but what twenty-three year old does these days, besides money. I did get a gift card for itunes, money, and organic apples. The organic apples was a funny gift because my girlfriend and I were just talking about how I never had any before and wanted to try some. I didn't realize that apples were processed now, so I thought they would really be interesting. I have yet to try them...
For those of you who have facebook, a friend of mine did make a flier for me that was distributed 10,000 times to various people. I also went out to one of my favorite restaurants yesterday evening and about 12 of my friends were able to join me. It was fun, although the "Japanese" Chef we had was far from exciting.
I'd like to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday on facebook, called me, sent me cards, and those of you who came to eat with me, as well as those who gave me gifts. Out of all my recent birthdays (19-present), this one was the most supportive I believe, and I hope I have many more to come.
I now have to go apply for social security!
