Kindle? What is it?

This rather ugly device is a e-book by Amazon. It is cool that they released this interesting looking device. I have yet to see one up close and personal, so I cannot say for sure the size. Judging from the pictures, I am not very fond of the look. So what does this e-book do?

Dubbed Kindle, this device, from what I hear, is amazingly readable, as long as you have a light source. It does not have a regular computer display, but a black-and-white E-Ink screen. The scroll wheel controls a digital bar that moves up and down the right side of the screen. I am sure that makes it easy for reading.

What the device does well is provide a wonderful purchasing and electronic reading experience. You can shop for Amazon books, or electronic newspaper, magazine, and blog subscriptions, right from the device, which comes with a built-in Sprint EVDO card as there is not built in WiFi. Why? Who knows...

So there you have it. That is what has been swarming around the interent lately. This e-book. I never was really interested in e-books, and this is not a product that will change my mind, but maybe you'd like to check it out. You might like it!
