Panel Your Car With Solar Cells

I always wondered why solar panels weren't being installed on cars. They are being installed everywhere else, why not cars? Well, there is now a solar kit that installs on your Prius. Granted, the Prius is more practical than high efficiency solar vehicles, but why not add solar panels anyway. What could it hurt?

This solar kit from SEV seamlessly installs onto a Prius' roof and claims to add up to 20 miles per day of electric mode driving/increase fuel economy up to 29%. I still ponder why some of these newer model cars aren't coming with solar panels anyway, but I am sure it will happen. I've heard that Prius' in the future might possibly incorporate solar panels, so stay tuned.

As gas prices rise, and our economy becomes more aware of what a detriment we have all become to earth, more and more ways to save the planet will be implemented into our everyday lives, not to reverse the damage that has been done, but to stop more damage from occurring.
