Serene Martens

Unfortunately, life is not always perfect. The saying, "Bad things happen to good people" truly is inevitable but there is always hope and often times, that is what most of us rely on for things to get better; that and prayers. It is always sad to hear about horrible things that happen to people, and even worse - children.

As many of you know, I am a writer over at The Tech Brief, and sadly, one of my coworkers has been experiencing a heart wrenching time. Serene Martens, daughter of my coworker "TheGrizz", has learned that her life-threatening tumor is once again growing. A few years ago, Serene Martens was diagnosed with a brain stem tumor. The family was able to get treatment to stop Serene's tumor. Sadly, the tumor has begun to grow again, recently, due to the lack of treatment for this kind of condition.

Not only would I like to extend my prayers to their family, but I would like to request your help and prayers as well. While the family has health insurance, we all know the costs for medication and care can exceed that of any health insurance plan. Donations are welcome.While times are hard for others and you may not be able to contribute, support does come along way, so even if you cannot contribute, I encourage you to extend your prayers and support for the family. They will appreciate any efforts made, I can assure you.
