Diamond Studded iPod Shuffle up for Auction

Yeah, there's a lot of good, civically-minded things you could do with your cash, but I would not recommend spending it on a 1GB diamond studded iPod Shuffle. That is of course, unless you have $40,000 lying around somewhere that is just dying to be spent.

A jeweler named Thomas Heyerdahl has created an 18 karat, diamond studded, white and pink gold iPod shuffle, meant to be auctioned at a charity in London.

"The ultra-bling version of Apple's portable music player comes
encrusted with 430 eye-catching diamonds and then the controls in the center are
plated in solid 18k white and pink gold. That's bling beyond belief and the
iDiamond -- as it's been dubbed -- is going under the hammer at some charity
auction in London."

At least it is going to a good cause. Perhaps you should put in your bid :)
