PanDigital's PanTouch Picture Photo Frame...
Is it just me, or is that kind of difficult to say? Regardless, I want one. Whenever I walk by a digital picture frame that is on display, I always think to myself how badly I want one, but I never get one. A few years back, when they were somewhat hitting the market, I did a review of one, and they just didn't peak my interest to much. That has changed, and I am not sure it is because of PanDigital's newest picture frame, or because I just like tech. Probably a little of both.
I am pretty sure in stating that photo frames should do one thing well, and that is display pictures, right? If it can't do that for a reasonable pixel-per-penny then people loose interest. PanDigital's PanTouch offers a few more features: Touch sensitive, WiFi, and Blutooth. If you are worried about smudges, don't. Pandigital claims that its displays are resistant to prints.
The concern I have is the fact that touch-sensitive displays at low price points are typically not as bright and crisp as standard LCDs of the same dimensions especially with a coating on top of that to prevent smudges.
The only way to find out is to get my hand on one. Available next month in 7, 8, and 10-inch models priced at $120, $170, and $250.
